Recipe From: Cooking with Paula Deen Magazine
Serves: 12 to 14
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 2/3 cup cold water
- 3.4 ounce-box instant French vanilla pudding
- 12 ounces Cool Whip
- 11 ounce-box Nilla Wafers
- 8 medium-ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, water, and pudding. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Chill for 5 minutes. Fold in Cool Whip.
- In a serving dish, pour just enough pudding mixture to cover the bottom. Place a layer of vanilla wafers over pudding, followed by half of bananas. Repeat procedure with remaining ingredients, beginning and ending with pudding mix. Serve immediately if you like the wafers crunchy, or refrigerate for several hours if you like them softer. Before serving top with extra Cool Whip if desired.
