Captain Calfee's Creamy Cucumbers

Recipe From: Mica Calfee, Irving Fire Captain
Serves: 6
  • 3/4 cup Miracle Whip
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsps. Italian dressing
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp. dill pickle juice (from any type of dill pickle jar)
  • 4 large cucumbers, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 small purple onion, sliced into strips
  1. In a small bowl, mix ingredients Miracle whip through pickle juice.
  2. In a large bowl, add cucumbers and onion. Toss in just enough of the Miracle Whip mixture to cover the cucumbers. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Serve.

NOTES:
− You will have extra dressing mixture. It is great for any kind of raw vegetables.
− You can adjust the above spices to your taste.
